This privacy policy explains how the "addtomap" travel content project and its associated automation tool ("the app") handle information. The app is a personal project used to create, schedule, and publish original travel content (imagery, short videos, destination notes) to our own social media accounts, and to respond to comments and messages on those accounts. This includes, but is not limited to, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Threads.
Through each platform's official API, the app accesses only data belonging to our own addtomap accounts: our own media (posts, reels, shorts), the comments and messages left on our own content, and aggregated account insights (reach, views, follower counts). The app does not collect, store, or sell the personal data of other users beyond what is strictly necessary to display and reply to comments and messages on our own content.
Accessed data is used solely to: publish and schedule our own content across our own accounts, generate engagement statistics for the account owner, and write replies to comments and messages on our own content. Replies are drafted with the help of an AI assistant and are limited to friendly, on-topic responses in the tone of the account.
The app runs privately on the account owner's own computer. It does not share accessed data with any third parties. Generated content (videos, images, captions) is stored locally and, for hosting purposes, on the owner's own public content delivery repository. We do not run advertising networks or trackers, and this website does not set cookies.
Locally stored data can be deleted by the account owner at any time. To request deletion of any data related to your interaction with addtomap, or for any privacy question, contact us by direct message on any of our official accounts and we will address it promptly.
You can reach us by direct message on any of our official accounts, for example Instagram @addtomap.
addtomap is an independent personal project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta Platforms, TikTok, Google/YouTube, or any other platform mentioned. See also our Terms of Service.
